Yesterday and today we went to manuel antonio national park. We camped about 10 feet from the ocean in tents. Despite the restless night with lots of humidity, rain, and creppy insects crawling all over my body, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was amazing. The beach was absolutley beautiful. While swimming in the ocean, I found a kind of shell/seed looking thing, and afterward the lifeguard came up to me speaking spanish and telling me about how this thing I found (he called it a "nin-ee") would bring good luck to me, and if I searched the beach for another one, I wouldnt be able to find it becasue they are so rare. Everyone said he was just trying to flirt with me, but i think it will bring me luckk! This afternoon we had to survey 12 people (6 english speaking and 6 spanish speaking) I did not find the language barrier to be too difficult, I actually liked speaking spanish becasue I'm not forced to do it all the time. That is all for now, sorry for the short post, I am exhausted and tomorrow wil be a long day of studying for my exam on thursday. see you all soon, love you and miss you.

i've always wanted to camp on a beach with the creepiest bugs ever....so lucky :) actually, i think we should all camp on the beaches of.....KIAWAH!! good luck on the exam!

ReplyDeleteWOW camping on the beach sounds like soo much funn...although I don't think I would be able to handle any creepy bugs crawling all over me. I'm actually surprised youu were able to handle that ALLLL...you better not scream over anymore little spiders here when you get back, I'm sure the bugs there are ALOT more gross than the spideys here. Camping on the beach sounds amazing!! I would love to do that! Today I was over Melissa's and Bailey ran away. She made it all the way to your parents' house! Luckily your mom saw her and called Mel. We didn't even notice she was gone! We also just had an earthquake! It was mostly in Cleveland but people here felt it too!! Good luck on your tests and schoolwork! Cyaa soooon!!!!!
