Iglesia Catolica por favor...
Today, I found a catholic church in town, so a few friends and I go up to go at 7AM. Going to mass over here was a little different than going at home.I was able to sit in the back of church and not be completley distracted by the people sitting in front of me, becasue everyone was paying attention, also everyone in church sang despite the fact that there were no song books to sing from..wierd- right? After church stood at the bus stop and waited for the bus that would take us to jaco beach. After an hour and a half of waiting, the bus finally came, and, despite being a little hot and smelly, we arrived at the beach! Jaco beach was beautiful, and coast line was even more spectaular to look at, I took lots of pictures that I am hoping to upload once our wireless internet starts working. At six, we caught a bus ride back to Atenas, and arrived here at the field station. That is all for today, I have to go hop into the freezing cold shower to wash this sand off of me! miss you all lots! see you in three sundays!

You should have been to 5:30 Mass yesterday.....DISTRACTION CITY! Entertainment was plus other families...wish it we could have a streak of sunny days so we could go to the pool :( havee funnn xo

ReplyDeletehope all is well. Thinking of u as I sit in Chicago o hare airport for 9 hour layover! Remember one year from know you will be wanting to be where you are now. So take it all in. Don't skip a beat. Take every opportunity and live it to the fullest. We only live once that we know of so live with no regrets.

humm...church is good..do they sing there??? probably nothing like what im hearing now! (music) HEY JUDE..(WAYYYYYY to long of a song)...good you found somewhere to go to fulfill your faith....although sounds like you can pretty much go anywhere there and find it...how are the beans goin down??? whats this with facbook and people chatin with you??? what time of day (our time) does that take place? still dont know how many hrs you are ahead of us...thought i read 11hrs somewhere..would still like to do a conference call with aunt karen sometime soon..would be great to hear our godchild voice, but if it doesnt happen thats ok too...cant bring you up to aunt karen too much, she still a cry baby !!!!!! I love you honey...stay safe

ReplyDeleteA.Janice..yes they sing a lot in church! the rice and beans are still rice and beans..i have cut them completley out of my breakfast meal! costa rica is two hours behing you guys, im usually on facebook 9 or 9:30 your time..get on sometime! Im glad the mailing department is running smoothly without me! thats ONE thing i dont have to worry about! and no there is no kereoke her but we do have a dance class on friday night!
