A note to my Dad- Dad- Happy Fathers Day, I miss you and love you so much. I cant wait to give you a huge hug when I get home. Thats how I left, and that is how I will arrive. I wish I could be there with everyone today to celebrate, but we will just have to have another celebration for it when I get home in 16 days! I love you Dad.
Today, I am going to mass at 9AM then catching the bus to San Jose to do some shopping, I am very excited! Tomorrow we leave here at 6AM to go to Manuel Antonio national park. And becasue my pandilla job this week is breakfast/lunch/dinner set up, that means we have to be at breakfast at 4:45AM!! Not looking forward to that. Tomorrow and Tuesday should be fun though, becasue Manuel Antionio is closed on Mondays, and because SFS has some connections with it, we have the whole park to ourselves! We will be camping out on the beach! When we return on tuesday, we have the rest of the night to study for our exam on thursday. Then on Friday we have a field lab report due in the morning, and we leave for the field in the afternoon. We will be in the field collecting data until Monday, when we come back and have the rest of the week to analyze our data, write a 2,500 word paper, create a powerpoint presentation, and study for our final Exam which is on Saturday. After saturday at 10:30AM we are finished, Sunday and Monday are relaxing/packing/free days, and I will be home on Tuesday night 11:30PM!!
I have concluded that I cannot and will not let the work load stress or worry me. I have two more weeks left in Costa Rica, and I am going to enjoy them. The professors cannot give me a letter grade that will gadge the experience or knowlege I have gained form being here, only I can do that. I will work hard, study, and do my best, but whatever I get, I get, and there is nothing else to it.
I miss you all so much, and will see you very soon!

as much as i'm enjoying the posts (and the comments! esp. from the sissies)...i'm kinda hoping that the next couple weeks for you involve a little more immersion (in your here/now) than connection (with those of us elsewhere). i'm encouraged as it's now two days past the last post.
ReplyDeletesoak it up my GD.
